My Definition of Success
Like most of my clients, I want to succeed. However, I have learned over time that the definition of what it means to succeed varies a lot depending on who you are speaking to.
For example, for some of my business clients, success is measured in dollars and cents, and for some of my non-profit clients success is a matter of empowering their clients.
As for me, I like the way these folks think about success:
“Stop chasing the money and start chasing the passion.” – Tony Hsieh
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” – Albert Schweitzer
“I’m convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance.” – Steve Jobs
“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” – Colin Powell
